Introducing Myrtaceae

Posted by Kym Campbell on Wednesday, December 21, 2016

The race is on to get the last sites live for 2016 before the holidays start at 5pm Thursday ;)

Today's new client is Myrtaceae Winery, (pronounced Mer-tay-see), though we've been working with their team for over a year, with domain name, email and website rescues at various times. Now their brand new responsive WSW site is up in time for the Christmas rush. Read the full brief & client testimonial on Our Work.

If you're on the Mornington Peninsula these holidays why not drop in to the Myrtaceae cellar door & try some of their newly released 2016 Selwyns Fault Rosé? They're open at 12pm daily from December 27...and tell them we sent you :)

The Rankings Trifecta

Posted by Kym Campbell on Tuesday, November 01, 2016

Regardless of whether or not you won at the races today, there are three things you can do to make your website a winner in search engine rankings.

  1. Make sure your website Home page has a search engine friendly URL that includes your basic services or products. Including a keyword phrase in your business name URL will make your website easier for online consumers to find, and search engines to pick up. For more info on this, read our previous Website Tips 101 - Simple URL's for SEO.
  2. Make sure your website can be found easily on all mobile devices - With recent Google algorithm changes, that means responsive design is a must. Read more about Responsive Design.
  3. Change content regularly - The content on your website should be accessible, engaging, fun & informative & encourage consumers to come back to your site regularly for additional information. It's important to create fresh, relevant content that tells your company's story. Updating site content by Blogging gives your site more keywords and URLs for searchers to hit on, and they're constantly being added to as you continue to write about new services, products, projects, industry tips and client success stories. Read more in our previous tip - Content for SEO.

We can't do much about your punting success, but contact us if you need help improving your website :)

We welcome Eco Aus Industries on board

Posted by Kym Campbell on Friday, September 02, 2016

Eco Aus Industries already had an online presence developed several years ago. Although it was a great looking website, it was very slow to load, wasn't mobile friendly and much of the website functionality had never been activated and let the site down. The team required a new site with a similar look and feel to showcase their patented range of composite manhole covers to both their industry partners and site visitors alike. WSW developed a custom responsive website using Paralax capabilities as well as updating the website information with fresh, unique content. Read More

Deer Park Club joined the WSW Club

Posted by Kym Campbell on Wednesday, August 17, 2016

A great new responsive site has finally gone live for Deer Park Club and has certainly been a labour of love for the WSW team. DPC already had an online presence but the website lacked functionality & wasn't mobile optimised, making it very hard for members and patrons to stay up to date with club events and access information online. The new site involved extensive web application development to provide an easy navigation experience for members and site visitors, including Google Translate, Board Members & Our Team, Careers, Clubs, Events, FAQs, What's On, What's New, Functions, multiple Function Photo Galleries, Membership, Latest News, Special Offers and multiple Function Testimonials.
